  When the first season of the show was released a year ago, nobody paid much attention. Despite being released on Netflix, the most popular OTT platform in Korea, there were more negative reviews than positive ones. Honestly, I didn’t pay much attention to why they thought the show was lacking. But I was confident that depicting the cruelty of Japanese rule in such a way itself was enough to prove the show’s worth. The overall plot and artistic production also seemed great to me. Now, the second season of the quite controversial Gyeongseong Creature has been released; and it’s a relief that I can express my support more openly, now that the show receives much positive likes from viewers.
