Actress Han Hyo Joo ν•œνš¨μ£Ό, HBD! 🎁

Not sure exactly when I started falling for Han Hyo-Joo. Now it seems that I was always aware of her even before I realized it myself. And a definite turning point was Moving. She is the most prolific actor I've ever seen, and her delicate acting always inspires me. Since today(2.22) is Hyo's birthday, I'm going to introduce three movies and three shows that represent her. In fact, it was super hard to select only three pieces each! Among her many many masterpieces(due to her annual, frequent comebacks), these are the final choices I made. In them, Hyo-Joo shines magnificently. Of course, she always does, but anyways:)

-- Movie --

1. <κ°μ‹œμžλ“€> 'Cold Eyes' (2013)

Character Ha Yoon-Joo has a special ability to remember everything she sees. Her sensitive emotions are slowly gathered then exploded at once. Among thrilling action scenes Hyo's outstanding emotion control stands out, earning her big-scaled awards.

2. <반창꼬> 'Love 911' (2012)

First of all, the best romantic comedy movie ever. It's actually more of a romantic healer movie than comedy, with sincere tear-jerking scenes. Since Hyo is best known for controlling the mood by laughter and tears, her acting style perfectly shows it's worth.

3. <μΈλž‘> 'Illang: The Wolf Brigade' (2018)

This is unlike others in her filmography because the movie itself was a failure. Nevertheless I enjoyed it, probably because my focus was mostly on Hyo. And she was impressive. Yunhee is a complicated character, with a lot going on in her mind. Thanks to Hyo's great acting, Yunhee could acquire her own unique charm.

-- Drama --

1. <동이> 'Dong Yi' (2010)

A sensational TV show that remains popular even now. At that time, historical shows led by an actress were rare. At a young age of 23, Hyo-Joo led the 60 episode-long TV show as heroine. She received nationwide recognition, ending the show successfully with high ratings. By Dong Yi, she became the station's youngest winner ever to win the grand prize.

2. <ν•΄ν”Όλ‹ˆμŠ€> 'Happiness' (2021)

The show relates to reality; after COVID, a new disease breaks out. The infected go mad and bite other people. Hyo plays a cheerful and skilled special force police named Sae-bom. She and Sae-bom seemed to have a lot in common, so her acting was noticeably natural, energizing the whole show. Otherwise, the drama may have felt heavy due to its theme.

3. <무빙> 'Moving' (2023)

Hyo gained fame once again recently, this time worldwide, through Disney+ series Moving. The awesome plot came to life by each actor's wonderful chemistry and dedication; Hyo-Joo also took part, adding the final touch to Mi-hyeon's storied past and her once-passionate days.

Finally, just wanted to thank dear Hyo for giving me endless joy and inspiration:) Her next show, Blood Free, will be released on Disney+ this April; hope you don't miss it!
