<약한영웅 Class 2> 'Weak Hero Class 2' Drama Review

The second season of Weak Hero is based on its original work, the famous comic of the same name. Class 1 served as a prequel to the comic, the story of Si-eun and his two friends and how his world fell apart. Traumatized, Si-eun transfers to Eunjang High School, and what happens here is the plot of both the comic and Class 2.

Si-eun shuts down. Not wanting happiness or friendship anymore, he completely isolates himself. Rumors are that he killed someone in the previous school; why else would a smart boy like him transfer to this rubbish school? So the bullies avoid him. But the other victims are not so lucky. In Eunjang, violence is natural. The teachers turn a blind eye. Si-eun tolerates and tolerates until he can't stand it anymore. He takes action.

Is it right for him to stand up? It never changes anything after all. Violence is endless, following you persistently. Bullies aren't easily defeated. Defying seems like a worthless choice. That's why he'd promised himself not to fight anymore. He made the promise with Su-ho, too. But bullies never fail to cross the line.

As a passionate reader of the original comic, I admit the drama version is well made. The casting was perfect; the actors resemble the comic characters so much! Si-eun's feelings were better felt through the screen. It was slightly disappointing that Si-eun didn't make use of his surroundings as much while fighting. It was thrilling to see him use random objects in the comic. Nevertheless, the Netflix series was so electrifying and emotional.

Review: Violence is never romance.
