<밀수> 'Smugglers' Movie Review

Smugglers is the first Korean film of this summer. It is followed by several Korean movies, including three blockbusters. Hence, Smugglers can be thought of as the starting point; and its outcome can greatly influence the fate of the other movies. From what I can see, it was a great starting point.

What I want to focus on is the reason why Smugglers is a must-see movie. First of all, the director is Ryu Seung-Wan, a representative Korean director. His movie style is the mainstream; his movies are easy for the Korean audience to emphasize with. This movie was also easy to emphasize with. One thing to watch out in such cases is that the movie can be mistaken as common and predictable, when approached carelessly. However, Ryu Seung-Wan created his own outstanding twists and turns, and along with heartwarming chemistry between the characters, completed the movie successfully. So although in the beginning the movie might seem somewhat predictable and familiar, you would surely smile in awe as the ending credit goes up on screen.

Not to mention the still incredibly handsome and captivating actor, Jo In-Sung! Can't believe he becomes more of a perfection each time:)

Review: The ideal type of a Korean blockbuster.
